What We’re Looking For

JAGGAER is looking for an Associate Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud SaaS Operations team in Serbia. In this role, you will support the reliable operation, availability, and performance of JAGGAER’s hosted application environments. You will monitor applications and services, help investigate incidents, perform application-level operational tasks, support releases and migrations, and escalate issues through established processes.
This is an application support and SaaS operations role with exposure to cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, AWS services, deployment tooling, and operational automation. You will work closely with Cloud Operations, QA, Development, Infrastructure, and other internal teams while building practical experience in how modern SaaS applications operate at scale.

Principal Responsibilities

• Monitor hosted applications, services, alerts, and related operational components.
• Support day-to-day application operations in a SaaS hosted environment.
• Assist with investigation of application issues, service degradation, alerts, and customerimpacting incidents.
• Escalate issues according to defined processes and support SLA adherence.
• Perform application configuration, operational checks, and routine maintenance tasks under established procedures.
• Support application software upgrades, patching activities, and migrations.
• Assist with release validation, service transition, and post-release monitoring.
• Work with QA teams during testing, service transition, and problem analysis.
• Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, and Cloud Operations teams to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Monitor application and service performance and help report operational status.
• Follow internal standards, practices, and policies for quality assurance and operational support.
• Maintain and improve operational documentation, support procedures, and knowledge base materials.
• Support improvements to monitoring, automation, and delivery tools used by the team.
• Share observations and improvement ideas that may support operational efficiency, service reliability, and support quality.

Position Requirements

Must Have
• Basic to good understanding of multi-tier web applications and hosted SaaS environments.
• Basic to good understanding of application support, incident handling, troubleshooting, and escalation processes.
• Structured problem-solving skills and willingness to learn from more experienced team members.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with multiple technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and deliver them on time.
• Some experience supporting application operations in production or pre-production environments.
• Familiarity with operational processes, procedures, metrics, and SLA-driven support.
• Working knowledge of Linux systems.
• Familiarity with Git and version-controlled application delivery.
• Basic scripting experience with Bash and/or Python for operational support or automation tasks.
• Basic knowledge of AWS services used in hosted application environments.
• Familiarity with EC2, Elastic Load Balancing, and load-balanced application environments.
• Basic understanding of Auto Scaling concepts and how they affect application availability and performance.
• Familiarity with certificate-related operational tasks, including AWS Certificate Manager.
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes and containerized application environments.
• Familiarity with Argo CD or GitOps-based deployment workflows.
• Ability to support application upgrades, migrations, and release-related operational activities.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.


Nice to Have
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tooling.
• Knowledge of PL/SQL and relational database models.
• Experience with monitoring tools and alert investigation.
• Experience supporting high-availability SaaS platforms.
• Experience with service transition, release support, or production readiness activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
