The candidate, being in contact with other engineering teams in Europe, India, and the US, will work on the creation of a microservices architecture built in Java, Spring, React, deployed in a container-based environment (Kubernetes) into a cloud infrastructure.

Principal Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy software components or applications, following established coding standards and best practices.
• Apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in software design and implementation.
• Handle tasks that are varied and may involve moderate complexity, requiring analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
• Document designs, technical decisions, and processes.
• Identify and recommend improvements to existing code, processes, and tools.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Provide occasional mentorship or support to junior engineers.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
• 2-5 years of professional experience in software engineering or application development.
• Proficiency in Java programming, especially with Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, etc.)
• Previous experience with API development (REST or GraphQL) and integration projects.
• Understanding of ORM frameworks and relational databases best practices
• Knowledge of JavaScript frontend frameworks (especially React) is preferred.
• Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and version control systems (Git).
• Knowledge of software design patterns and principles.
• Ability to debug, optimize, and improve codebases.
• Good command of English (written and spoken)
